Safety is of paramount importance in road traffic and in industrial manufacturing.Reliable braking efficiency is pivotal here. This is why TMD Friction is committed to highest quality. We also consider quality to be a significant factor for the long-term success of our company. Quality management is therefore a key duty for the organisation as a whole and for each and every employee: We are striving to achieve perfection in every process. A fundamental principle of our quality management system is the observance of currently effective international quality standards, in particular ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009. These standards apply across all TMD Friction sites in which products for the original equipment and replacement markets are manufactured. Alongside these general quality standards, we also meet special customer demands with regard to manufacturing, products and supply. Our quality management system encompasses all divisions and processes within the company. In terms of process control TMD Friction applies methods such as Six Sigma and CI (Continuous Improvement). A reporting system records and monitors all processes and procedures relevant to quality. It identifies problems and corrects these in realtime. A key element of the quality management system is the training program for our employees. Our internal actions are accompanied by certification audits. The German Society for Certification of Management Systems (DQS) has world-wide responsibility for certification of the TMD Friction sites. It conducts regular audits, checking our processes for compliance to the standards and for areas of improvement.
